This year, Christmas was special and different in more ways than one. Colaba known to throb all night long on Christmas Eve, for the first time, adopted a sombre look. And, the Christmas Day parties and gatherings were a low key affair too.

CHRISTMAS MESSAGE: Mumbai Police personnel at Marine Drive on Christmas Day

Local police personnel, on the other hand, ensured COVID-19 restrictions are followed during the celebrations on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day. On 25 December 2020, personnel from Mumbai Police distributed masks to citizens across the zone.

SAFETY FIRST: Mask distribution underway at Marine Drive

The distribution was made across several zones including Mumbai Traffic South Region. Men dressed as Santa Claus distributed the masks as part of the drive.
